From our lab to the Japanese market: We successfully held the Hi Japan exhibition in October 2025

2025-11-05

TOKYO, Japan – October 25, 2025 – As the lights dim on another successful Hi Japan exhibition, I'm reflecting on an incredible three days at the Makuhari Messe from October 15-17. We highly value this opportunity, as this platform provides our company with a space for international exchange, learning, and collaboration.

This experience: This experience not only allowed us to gain a clearer understanding of international market trends for health supplement raw materials but also provided a valuable learning opportunity for our product positioning. We learned about emerging market trends: functional health foods and anti-aging, a new trend in women's health, especially in anti-aging, anti-oxidation, and immune regulation. The Japanese market shows a continued surge in interest in high-value-added health products.

Japanese companies' strict control over product quality: During our interactions with Japanese clients at the exhibition, we learned that they not only inquired about product specifications but also had strict requirements for auxiliary agents and solvents used in the production process. They also demanded clinical evidence and supply chain transparency to explore the mechanisms of action. They understand that current products should not only pursue rapid efficacy but also focus on product quality and the traceability of raw materials. At the exhibition, the following products of ours were highly favored by our clients. Examples include natural porcini mushroom extract, equol, Hovenia dulcis extract, and L-carnitine microcapsule powder.

Natural source of ergothioneine: Our natural ergothioneine extracted from wild porcini mushrooms attracted many visitors due to its novel source. The reason is that porcini mushrooms, commonly used in pasta, have a rich mushroom flavor and have long been used in the food industry. It is well known that ergothioneine can also be extracted from Pleurotus ostreatus, but our ergothioneine is extracted from wild porcini mushrooms, with a specification of 1.5%-6%.  In our production, we also utilize liposome and microparticle technology to improve the water solubility of this product. We demonstrated the water solubility of the product on-site, gaining recognition from many customers. Many customers looking for new raw materials also came to the event and showed great interest in the product. We are also applying for a domestic patent for this product and have conducted relevant human clinical trial data.

Equol: A natural compound produced by the metabolism of soy isoflavones by intestinal bacteria, belonging to the class of phytoestrogens. It has attracted much attention due to its binding to estrogen receptors and its ability to exert effects similar to weak estrogen or anti-estrogens, especially in relieving menopausal symptoms and improving bone health. Equol has a chemical structure similar to human estrogen, but with weaker activity. It cannot be directly obtained from food; instead, it is converted from soy isoflavones (such as daidzein) through the action of gut microbiota. Approximately 30%-50% of the gut microbiota possess this conversion ability, while others cannot produce it naturally. Therefore, equol dietary supplements are particularly important. Our company's equol is chemically synthesized from daidzein, offering a price advantage. A study has shown that equol shows promise in the prevention and treatment of cancer. We believe this product will become one of the best-selling products in the future.

Hovenia dulcis extract: This product is not well-known in the Japanese market, but it is a popular item in South Korea. Its main functions are: relieving hangovers (alcohol poisoning, thirst, and nausea); protecting the liver (anti-lipid peroxidation, anti-liver fibrosis); and anti-fatigue (anti-aging and anti-fatigue effects). Our company's excellent water solubility has won the favor of customers. After demonstrating the product's water solubility, our Japanese client immediately took a sample. Within days of the exhibition presentation, we received an order from them. The president of a company specializing in human clinical trial data also told me that he's currently assisting other companies with efficacy testing for this product, and that it will soon become a popular ingredient in new functional products in Japan. Especially for our company, which focuses on water-soluble technology, this Hovenia dulcis extract will undoubtedly become one of our flagship products, as it's already very popular in China. In today's high-pressure society, many people spend their leisure time gathering to stay up late and drink alcohol, and with increasing health awareness, many will choose this product to help improve their health.

About Us: We are a comprehensive company integrating R&D, production, and sales. Our R&D team consists of researchers, PhDs, and post-doctoral researchers. I believe our team's experience and knowledge will definitely meet our clients' practical needs and solve their product pain points. Our factory is located next to a power plant, so we utilize waste heat in our production, resulting in lower production costs than our competitors. Guaranteed product quality, low production costs, and solving real problems for our customers are our company's hallmarks. As our product manager, Shao, said, good products speak for themselves, and so do our products. We have always used our products to prove our strength.
