Introduction of Beta Alanine Powder

β-Alanine is a non-essential amino acid and the only naturally occurring β-amino acid. It usually works with histidine to produce carnosine, which is stored in our skeletal muscles. Carnosine can effectively reduce the accumulation of lactic acid in muscles during exercise. As a substrate for carnosine, a large number of studies have shown that supplementing with β-alanine can improve athletic performance, especially in high-intensity exercise.
However, there has always been a problem with β-alanine in its application: it has strong hygroscopicity. This greatly limits the further application of β-alanine. Based on this, Hihealth has launched moisture-proof β-alanine microcapsule powder. The capsule structure is uniform and the shell is completely coated, which can well isolate oxygen and moisture in the air. Under the conditions of temperature 25°C and relative humidity 50%, after being exposed for 72 hours, the particles of Hihealth β-alanine microcapsule powder are significantly different from the blank and the reference, and have a good moisture-proof effect.

Functions of Beta Alanine Powder

1.Increase the content of carnosine in human bones
Alanine Powder (1)
Dietary supplementation with I) 3.2 and II) 6.4 g d-1 β-alanine (as multiple doses of 400 or 800 mg) for 4w resulted in significant increases in muscle carnosine estimated at 42.1, 64.2 %.
As the rate-limiting precursor to carnosine synthesis, beta-alanine supplementation has been shown to consistently elevate carnosine in a variety of populations, and may therefore improve performance during high-intensity exercise and/or enhance the quality of training in athletes participating in strength and power sports.
2. Delay fatigue time

For Figures1, an RE greater than 100 represents an increase or improvement in performance versus a placebo group. Similar to the results of Hobson et al. ,the most pronounced effects of beta-alanine supplementation on TTE are seen in tasks under 270 s. For example, Hill et al. reported marked improvements in cycling TTE at 110 % of maximal power output (average time = 104.1 s), resulting in a relative effect of 115.2, suggesting an improvement in performance.
3. Improve performance in fixed-end exercises

In Fig. 2, an RE less than 100 represents an improvement for fixed end-point tests, such as cycling time trials.Baguet et al. showed that participants supplementing with beta-alanine performed a 2,000-m rowing time trial 4.3 s faster than the placebo group, despite being 0.3 s slower at baseline. Similarly, Ducker et al. showed beta-alanine to improve 2,000-m rowing performance by 2.9 s.

4. Reduce neuromuscular fatigue
Alanine Powder (4)
For Figures3, an RE greater than 100 represents an increase or improvement in performance versus a placebo group. Collectively, the evidence suggests that beta-alanine supplementation attenuates neuromuscular fatigue, particularly in older subjects. Improvements in fatigue threshold may be augmented with concurrent participation in high-intensity interval training.
5. Strength Gain

Hoffman et al. investigated the effects of creatine monohydrate(C), creatine + beta-alanine(CA), or placebo(p) in conjunction with ten weeks of training. Compared to P, both C and CA significantly improved squat 1RM, bench press 1RM, and weekly squat intensity. Only CA improved body composition and weekly training volume for squat and bench press.
