Poria Cocos has a history of more than 2,000 years of application in China. Chinese medicine calls Poria cocos "the magic medicine of the four seasons" and "the holy medicine for removing dampness". There has always been a saying among the people that an inch of Poria cocos is worth an inch of gold. This shows the good effect of Poria cocos. The core raw material of Wulingsan, a famous diuretic prescription of the famous doctor Zhang Zhongjing, is Poria cocos. Therefore, Poria cocos has been verified for thousands of years in terms of diuresis and dampness removal, and its safety and effect are beyond doubt. However, Poria cocos has been limited in market promotion due to its high insoluble fiber content and low bioavailability. It is only marketed in Chinese medicine and patches.
The effective ingredients of Poria cocos are Poria cocos polysaccharides and Poria cocos triterpenes. Using I Enzymolysis TechTM technology, the Poria cocos powder obtained by enzymolysis of insoluble dietary fiber and embedding of oil-soluble Poria cocos triterpenoid components has good water solubility and no oil. It can be used in liquid and powder functional foods, and can also be used in cosmetic raw materials. Our Poria cocos extract solves the bottleneck of the Poria cocos market for many years and helps the Chinese medicine market for removing dampness.
1.Remove dampness and lose weight
Research and development findings: KEGG analysis yielded 171 enriched pathways, and Fig. 4 shows the top 20 pathways, with their enriched genes as shown in Fig. 4. The pathways closely related to the treatment of obesity are mainly Insulin resistance, HIF-1 signaling pathway, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, and Adipocytokine signaling pathway.
Research and development found that there was no significant difference in body weight between the rats in each group before administration. In the first week, compared with the blank control group, the body weight of the model control group increased significantly, and the body weight of the Shenling Baizhu powder group was significantly lower than that of the model control group, and there was no significant difference in the other groups; in the second and third weeks, compared with the model control group, the body weight of the low-dose Fuling Heye group and the Shenling Baizhu powder group was significantly reduced; from the fourth week to the sixth week, the body weight of each drug-administered group was significantly lower than that of the model control group.
2.Speed up gastric emptying and small intestinal propulsion
The study found that after administration, the gastrointestinal function of mice was hyperfunctioned, gastric emptying and small intestinal propulsion were accelerated, and the gastric residual rate was reduced from 78.96% in the normal group to 49.38%, and the small intestinal propulsion rate was increased from 63.48% in the normal group to 81.81%; after administering low, medium and high doses of 50% alcohol extract of Poria cocos, the gastric residual rate increased from 49.38% in the model group to 57.23%~76.05%, and the high dose group was better than the low and medium dose groups; the small intestinal propulsion rate was reduced from 81.81% in the model group to 65.16%~70.79%.

3.Anti-inflammatory
Research and development found that Table 3 shows that after treating RAW 264.7 cells with different concentrations of Poria polysaccharides PW-P1, PW-P2, and PW-P3 for 24 h, the MTT method was used to detect cell activity and found that under the action of Poria polysaccharides at a concentration of 1 μg·mL-1~1 000μg·mL-1, the activity of RAW264.7 cells remained above 93%. Table 4 shows that compared with the blank group, the NO secreted by the RAW264.7 cell model group after LPS intervention was significantly increased, indicating that LPS at this concentration caused a significant inflammatory response to RAW264.7 cells. Compared with the model group, Poria polysaccharides PW-P2 and PW-P3 had a significant inhibitory effect on the secretion of NO induced by LPS at a concentration of 50 μg·mL-1-1 000μg·mL-1.
4.Improve immunity
The study found that the serum IgG, IL-2, IL-6, and IFN-γ levels of the model group rats were lower than those of the blank control group, indicating that the modeling was successful. Compared with the model group, the IgG antibody and cytokine levels of the immune control group and the high, medium, and low dose groups of Poria polysaccharide were higher than those of the model group and lower than those of the blank control group. This indicates that polysaccharides can promote the levels of IgG, IL-2, IL-6, and IFN-γ in the serum of immunocompromised chickens.
5. Whitening
Research and development found that Poria polysaccharides PW-P1, PW-P2, and PW-P3 in the concentration range of 0.5 mg·mL-1~6.0 mg·mL-1 had a certain inhibitory effect on tyrosinase activity, and the inhibitory effect gradually increased with the increase of mass concentration. At a concentration of 6.0 mg·mL-1, the maximum inhibition rates of Poria polysaccharides PW-P1, PW-P2, and PW-P3 on tyrosinase activity were 24.21%, 35.39%, and 38.11%, respectively.
