Introduction of Ginseng Extract-Ginsenosides

Ginseng is a precious medicinal plant, known as the king of herbs. The "Ben Jing" records: "It can nourish the five internal organs, calm the spirit, stop panic, remove evil spirits, improve eyesight, and make people happy and intelligent." The "Yao Xing Lun" also records: "It can treat insufficient qi in the five internal organs, five kinds of fatigue and seven kinds of injuries, weakness, vomiting and loss of appetite, stop cholera, depression and vomiting, nourish the five internal organs, protect the heart and spirit, which shows the powerful health care effect of ginseng. The history of using ginseng in China can be traced back to 3,000 years ago. At first, it was eaten raw to treat diseases, and gradually became an essential medicinal material for treatment. With the improvement of the economy, ginseng has entered people's daily dishes, so the safety and health of ginseng have been improved. The effect is not to be considered, this is the crystallization of the wisdom of our ancestors.
Ginseng is currently used in the market as a dietary supplement and daily skin care. Dietary supplements are made into liquid beverages, soft candies, jellies, compressed tablets and capsules. Daily skin care is made into essences, eye creams, facial cleansers, etc., which are widely loved by the market. However, ginseng extracts have poor water solubility and heavy bitterness. Dietary supplements, soft candies have poor taste and cannot be added to an effective dose; skin care has poor water solubility and many precipitations, and the processing requirements for skin care products are too high. T Covering TechTM Ginseng liposomals use liposome technology to well mask the bitterness of ginseng and improve bioavailability.

Functions of Ginseng Extract-Ginsenosides

1. Anti-fatigue
Professor Kong Fanxiu of Heilongjiang Agricultural University and others found that ginsenoside Rg1 has an anti-fatigue effect in an immunocompromised mouse model of weighted swimming exhaustion. The results showed that the exhaustive swimming time of the medium-dose group of ginsenoside Rg1 (25 mg·kg−1) increased by 271.4% compared with the blank group, indicating that ginsenoside Rg1 has a significant anti-fatigue effect and significantly increased the expression levels of TFAM mRNA and NRF-1 mRNA in mouse skeletal muscle.
Ginseng (1)
Director Liu Junjie of the School of Clinical Medicine of North China University of Technology found that after brain aging model mice ingested ginsenoside Rg1, the total distance increased by 260%, the average speed increased by 243%, the relative discrimination index increased by 63%, the escape latency shortened by 18.7%, and the number of times the original platform was crossed and the time spent in the target area increased by 50.8%.
2.Improve Immunity
Ginseng (2)
Studies have found that ginsenosides can regulate five immune cells to improve human immunity, including T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, macrophages, NK cells, and dendritic cells. At the same time, it can regulate nine immune factors to improve human immunity, including IL-6, IL-33, CCL-2, TNF-α, IL-4, IL-10, IgG, and IgM.
3.Anti-glycation
Ginseng (3)
For D-gal-induced aging model rats, ginsenoside Rg1 can reduce the content of advanced glycation end products (AGE), ROS, MDA and the ratio of GSH and oxidized GSH (GSSG), and increase SOD activity.
4.Improve insulin resistance
Ginseng (4)
The glucose uptake of insulin-resistant cells in the ginsenoside-treated group showed a significant increase after 6 hours of culture (P<0.05), while the glucose uptake of insulin-resistant cells was significantly lower than that of normal cells (P<0.05), and this significance became more and more obvious as the culture time prolonged.
