Vitamin E is also known as vitamin E, also known as tocopherol, abbreviated as VE. VE cannot be self-synthesized in the human body, but it participates in the normal metabolism of the human body, so it must be supplemented in vitro. Vitamin E is a general term for a class of phenolic compounds with biological activity and similar chemical structures. There are 8 kinds of vitamin E in nature, divided into 4 tocopherols and 4 trienols. The vitamin E we usually refer to is α-tocopherol. VE has a variety of biological activities. It is a very strong antioxidant that can delay aging, promote blood circulation, regulate normal hormone secretion in the body, beautify the skin, avoid coronary artery sclerosis, protect the liver, regulate blood pressure, etc. However, there have always been two problems with vitamin E microcapsule powder in the application process: 1. Poor water solubility 2. Poor stability. These problems greatly limit the further application of vitamin E microcapsule powder.
1.Promote fertility
A randomized double-blind study of the efficacy of frankincense extract on adjuvant-induced arthritis rats showed that frankincense extract had significant anti-inflammatory effects, and its mechanism may be related to the inhibition of the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Liu Xiangyun et al. studied the anti-inflammatory effects of frankincense and frankincense acid, which were used in the clinical treatment of rheumatoid arthritis cases, with an effective rate of 95% and a cure rate of 85%.
2. Anti-aging
Vitamin E is an effective antioxidant that can help protect against free radical damage. Free radicals are unstable molecules produced by the oxidation process, which can damage cells and tissues, leading to aging, inflammation and a variety of diseases.
SOD and CAT are key enzymes in the body to remove free radicals, MDA is the degradation product of free radicals attacking organisms, and T-AOC reflects the total antioxidant capacity. As can be seen from the table, carrot polysaccharides significantly increase the activity of SOD and CAT in the serum, brain, and liver of aging model mice, reduce the content of MDA, increase T-COA, and improve the antioxidant capacity of aging mice, which has an anti-aging effect.
3. Prevent tumors
Tumor growth was detected in the control group (i.e., mice not supplemented with tocotrienol-rich fraction (TRF)) 2 wk after inoculation of the MCF-7 cells. In addition, by week 7 the incidence of mammary fat pad tumors was 100%. On the other hand, TRF-supplemented mice started to develop palpable tumors only from the seventh week of inoculation and, more importantly, only 50% of the mice in this group had tumors at week 14. TRF supplementation also affected tumor size. Tumor surface area was in fact significantly reduced in treated animals, being on the average about one-third that of control animals at the end of the experimental period.
4. Enhances Immunity
Vitamin E is considered one of the most effective nutrients for its effect on immune cell functions. Although vitamin E deficiency is rare, its supplementation to the diet above the recommended levels has been shown to be beneficial for T cell-mediated functions, particularly in the aged, as demonstrated in several animal studies and human clinical trials (Table 1).
Vitamin E ensures the normal function of cells by protecting and maintaining the integrity and stability of cells and organelles, and acts as an immune regulator to regulate the endocrine system of animals, such as regulating the synthesis of cytokines, prostaglandins, thrombins, and growth hormones.
5. Protect skin
Vitamin E has a good protective effect on skin irritation caused by TCL. The experimental results show that as the concentration of vitamin E increases, the effect of vitamin E antagonizing TCE gradually increases, and the skin reaction of experimental animals is alleviated. Vitamin E can also reduce the damage of sunlight ultraviolet rays to the skin, promote skin blood circulation, help maintain skin elasticity and health, and prevent wrinkles and pigmentation.
