Fisetin (3,3',4',7-tetrahydroxyflavone) is a naturally occurring flavonol. It has been identified as a secondary metabolite of many plants and is found in their green parts, fruits, bark and hardwood. It is also found in various fruits and vegetables and is a natural product in common foods. Fisetin has strong biological activity, especially in the field of anti-aging, and has become a leading anti-aging star raw material. However, its solubility in water is very low (<1mg/mL), which leads to problems such as low intestinal absorption rate and low bioavailability, thus limiting its further development and application. Based on unique process extraction and encapsulation technology, Hihealth has greatly improved the water solubility and bioavailability of Fisetin, making it suitable for health and wellness purposes in a variety of dosage forms.
1.Anti-inflammatory, antibacterial
The Mayo Clinic found in a comparative experiment that among 11 highly active natural ingredients including resveratrol, curcumin, and quercetin, fisetin has the strongest activity in clearing senescent cells. In addition, fisetin can also significantly extend the lifespan of late-life mice.
2.Enhance memory and learning ability
As shown in Fig. 5, three doses of fisetin were tested in the object-recognition task, and significant effects were seen at both 10 and 25 mg/kg. fisetin promotes long-term potentiation and enhances memory.
3.Brain health: improving cognitive impairment
In a mouse model of cognitive impairment, the expression of synaptic proteins SNAP-25 and PSD-95 was significantly downregulated in brain regions important for cognition (cortex) and learning and memory (hippocampus and dentate gyrus). The expression of synaptic proteins SNAP-25 and PSD-95 was significantly upregulated after treatment with fisetin.
4.Anti-cancer
Fisetin suppresses the cancer cell stages, prevents progression in cell cycle and cell growth, and induces apoptosis, Further, fisetin suppresses the activation of the PKCα/ROS/ERK1/2 and p38 MAPK signaling pathways, reduces the NF-κB activation, and down-regulates the level of the oncoprotein securin.
5.Anti-inflammatory
Fisetin decreased production of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-4, IL-6, and IL-8 in HMC-1 cells. Fisetin is a potential medicine for treatment of inflammatory diseases through the down-regulation of mast cell activation.
